Gay Mormon Students at #BYU Fight Against Bullying

Read this story and watch the below video.   Bravo to these kids for risking everything, including expulsion from their school and excommunication from their church, to fight against the bullying of homosexual teens...

If it gets better there...it's got to get better anywhere. I have a lot of lesbian & gay friends and they have struggled at times with feeling not good enough and the fear of coming out. I'm sorry organizations like this, videos & messages like this, weren't available to them back then. It's a beautiful video by brave youth. I got all teared up. Thanks for sharing it.

I'm superpissed that I can't read this because I am stealthily using my laptop with husband sleeping beside me and therefore no volume... eagerly waiting to watch tomorrow.

Wow. Powerful video. Terrible that people have to go through such sadness, pain and fear just to express who they are. I hope this video is far reaching and that "things really do get better."

Gay mormon that almost sounds like an oxymoron.

Oh my gosh I love this. I'm almost anti-religious on principle but this is so beautiful. Thank you.

I wonder how many years (decades??) it will take for this to be possible at BYU-Idaho where you can't where gym shorts on the way to the gym. And risk issues if you break curfew. BYU-Idaho is a dinosaur of a place. I feel for those kids.

@Anon: It's true, but I don't see any change happening until enrollment goes down in protest to their Honor Code. For now, kids know what they're getting in to, so the dinosaur lives on.
