I'm sorry, I'd love to respect this sign's wishes... but then I wouldn't have a blog, would I?

What will they do? Fine us? Kick us out of Idaho? Haha, too funny!

Idaho is famous for what? Mormon temple? I think they should find a new catch slogan to attract tourists.
Las Vegas- Casinos
New york - Ellis Island and statue of liberty
Florida and California - Disneyland, Disneyworld
Hawaii- Beach
Idaho - Land of weird signs

You live there, you might not be a native, bu tyou are not a tourist either.

To be honest, I prefer the bumper stickers I see all over here in Coeur d'Alene "If it's called tourist season, why can't we shoot them?"

Unknown said...

@Brea: Bumper stickers are awesome. One you see often in Southern Idaho and a lot of Montana is "I BUY LOCAL." Yet, you see it on Hondas, Toyotas, Volkswagens.... *cough*

"don't laugh, pity them"

I think this kind of warning sign needs to be erected around my home city...the natives here are downright dangerous

Steve Bailey said...

But its o.k. to feed them?

Unknown said...

...not after midnight...

I need that sign for my front yard.

I'd write a sitcom.
Or a blog.
Oh, wait, you got that taken care of.
Carry on.

Obviously if there's a natives-being-laughed-at problem, they should address it at the source and not expect too much of the visitors.

Idaho is actually famous for
Famous Potatoes. Saw the huge truck yesterday.
and its called The Gem State. Seriously how did we end up with a Raptor on our Quarter?

I love that sign. It is my absolute fave. I actually designed a t-shirt around that once. Had the sign on the front and on the back was a kid that got beat up saying "I laughed" as an explanation.

There used to be a sign in Ririe that said "Just when you thought you were lost, smile! You're in Ririe, Idaho. It's one of the towns it's impossible to be lost in - it has about three streets. My husband did get lost, but he had a brain injury.

It's funny, I read in the local newspaper today that a man in Idaho was arrested for falsly identifying himself. Yea he had his last name tattooed on his arm, in plain site of the cop and thought it a good idea to use another name. tee hee... :) Good stuff.

Idaho's famous for a lot...the Grand Tetons, for example. And not everyone in Idaho is Mormon
