Oh Idaho, What The Hell?

Idaho and politics... man oh man...

Not only does Idaho boast a guy who attempted to assassinate the President, now you can find this sign in Caldwell.

Caldwell is about 20 miles west of Boise, Idaho's Capital.  The group that owns the sign says they're trying to draw attention to Obama's foreign policy and the countless soldiers that have died in the wars overseas...

...the wars Obama didn't start, and has been trying to end since getting in office.  For those of you that aren't guys, here's a clue:  The pull-out method doesn't work...

But hey, Bush started this economic landslide and Obama's getting blamed.  Why not blame him for Bush's wars too?  Also, 9/11 is somehow Obama's fault, as is Linday Lohan's drug addiction.

Thanks again Idaho, for making us the state noone else wants to deal with.  I know it's a free country and all, but if you're going to use your freedom of speech, can you at least speak accurately?
Please Share it! :)

Let's not forget the Mayan prediction that the world will end in December. You know it's Obama's fault they said it was going to happen.

Well Idaho is were all the survivalists moved too, so you're set for the end of the world. And here in Utah we have all the polygamists, so between our states we're ready to repopulate this damn planet.

Wow!! That is unbelieveable. The level of ignorance that went into that billboard is impressive. Super classy.

Brandon, if Obama cured cancer there would be signs posted claiming that he put thousands of cancer researchers out of work. He can't win with a certain segment of the population, and we both know why that is... It has a lot less to do with this his policies (which are sadly akin to those of the last prez) and a lot to do with pigmentation (or as the GOP calls it, "A pre-existing condition")

If Obama's name was "Jones" and he was lily white, a lot of this knee-jerk assholishness would never have happened.

It's stuff like this that makes the US the *country* no one else wants to deal with. I shake my head sadly at this sign and the group who supports it.

Idaho is full of these regressive people who think Americas greatness was the 1950s and want to return the country back.

Yes, that's just wow. The scary thing is all the people who read that and think, "Hell, yeah!" Oh my...

Accuracy? What's that, B? Don't you know that if you say something over and over again, it becomes true? The dumbest arguments, 2nd only to religion, are political differences. People who argue about doing the exact same thing in different ways.

I don't see how those two things are connected at all. Honestly you should never blame the current president for what is going on now. For blame you have to look at previous presidents and congresses. Honestly lets look at the groups that support these guys that are forking over all the money.

This comes from the side of the state without the huge Mormon population. In fact, it was originally settled by those that drove the Mormons out of Missouri.

If you are looking for interesting billboards in Boise, you should check out the Athiest ones. I think there is a goal around here to see how many billboards can get people talking.

And just for fun, I would like to challenge someone to name a president who's foreign policy hasn't killed thousands. The idea that you can be president and not be responsible (however tangentially) for people dying is delusional. Yet one more reason I would never want to be president (though my Facebook probably makes me unelectable anyway).

Ignorance is scarier than mean. I think I could argue with mean. Maybe get them to see the light.

I totally agree with you, Brandon. Obama got the shaft when he took over from Bush's shitty job of keeping the economy stable. bush is the one responsible. People will remain shortsighted thou, about this. And instead of looking up the facts, they'd rather let Obama be the scapegoat for all of our woes. Even when we went to Iraq and went after the wrong guy (Hussein) I didn't fall for bush's fear tactics. Obama got the right guy assassinated by the Navy Seals and he's doing his best to get this country back on it's feet, economically, but the Republican politicians are clearly blocking efforts at every turn.

I don't discuss politics, but I do think that the sign is tasteless.

... the pull out method doesn't work??

As in, you can't just pull out troops overnight without severely messing up a country (and giving us a bad worldwide rep). This is why Obama called for the troops to come home when he campaigned, then realized "oh shit, you can't really do that can you?"

The pull out method: Bad for preventing pregnancy, bad for international politics.

There simply is no excuse for the utter vileness of that billboard. Political differences are one thing, but such “statements” go far beyond the acceptable levels of decency, much less good taste.

Urgh, I can't even come up with a witty comment. That sign is so clueless and tasteless.
