Even though the Republican presidential candidate has won in Idaho's voting by 25-45 points every election for the last 40+ years, I am still going to vote.
...and no, I'm not voting for Romney. He's an idiot, is un-reelectable and is a joke of a candidate.
...I'm not voting for Obama either, as I don't think he gets it.
To some, that means I am throwing away my vote, but I don't see it that way. I am voting for whom I think would make the best president, and I am the only one that matters when it comes to 'why I vote.'
But in all honesty, I am not voting this year because of the Presidential race. Again, in Idaho, my vote is like spitting against the wind unless I vote hard-line Republican.
I am voting for the local legislation, and to keep the idiots in check...
One of the measures on the Idaho ballot makes Hunting and Fishing a constitutional right.
Another set of propositions takes taxpayer money and requires schools to provide laptops for High Schoolers, and makes taking online courses a requirement to graduate.
Between those laws, a few idiots/racists running for public office, and a mayor that has memory issues, I am making sure my vote is counted.
Bottom line, it doesn't matter why you vote, or who/what you vote for, as long as you vote. Make your voice heard, even if you are shouting into the abyss.
If you don't vote, you don't have the right to bitch and moan about the state of things. Because you didn't care enough to try and change it, you shouldn't be able to complain.
So, my fellow Americans, be sure to cast your vote Tuesday.
...if you don't, I'll send this creepy bitch after you...

I'm gonna go vote just so that creepy bitch doesn't show up :/ Eeeep!
Good for you Brandon. There are a lot of local issues that get on the ballot so it's much bigger than just the Pres race. We had all sorts of crazy stuff on my local ballot, I had to do more homework for those issues than most of the big races because those will indeed change how my local neighborhood and school functions for my daughter and that's a big deal to me.
I have to hold my nose and vote for the President here in Floriduh, because it might actually make a difference. I'd much rather be voting other than that....
Voting here is compulsary and we dont elect a president ditrectly although it is pretty much a two party system
Here I usually try to choose the local pollie that will work best for the community. Most times sadly, it feels like choosing the lesser of evils
I'm heading home to vote and then coming right back. Hour drive each way, but it is worth it.
Dude, I am SO (pardon the cursing) fucking with you! I too am voting third party. Some day people will stop the "throwing your vote away" thought and catch up to voting enlightenment instead of "lesser of two evils" voting. Especially in any state not named "Ohio" you'd think people would realize presidential votes don't matter all that much and that local elections are what counts.
Also, I'm voting that the crazy-eyed lady has a mullet under that beanie.
YIKES, I would stay clear of that chick and her 22. For the record and I didn't vote for either of the 2 "heavy weight" candidates for Prez either because my conscious just wouldn't allow it. However, there are many local races that are very important to me.
Dude, how did she shoot that deer? One eye is on the target and the other is on Nebraska....
Don't worry about me: I'm voting early and often. Actually, we have a mail-in vote here in Oregon so I voted a week ago.
Oh God, she sees into my soul and knows all my secrets!
Why did they think that was an "acceptable" cover shot. I've taken self-portrait shots with my phone that would have been better than that one.
Oh yes, and everyone vote and all that jazz, PLEASE.
You can see the bloodlust in her eyes...
