Ron Paul is Coming to Idaho Falls - What Should I Ask Him??

Super Tuesday is just around the corner, and "The Rest of Us" (in other words, the non-important states) are finally getting a chance to vote for a GOP nominee.

Mitt Romney was in town this last Thursday, and the mormons went wild.

This Monday, March 5th, Ron Paul will be in town at the local Civic Auditorium.

Polls are showing that Idaho is trending toward Paul, with Romney a close second. My question to you, my audience, is...

Should I go?

Cast your vote to the right, on the sidebar...

I missed Romney's rally, but would have been tarred and feathers if I upset this town's LDS community. Ron Paul, however, is fair game.

And since I can't troll the President, I can at least troll a presidential candidate. If you vote yes, what should I ask Paul, if I get a chance to ask?

Should I ask him about medicinal marijuana? Flat taxes? If he will support the nominee if he doesn't win, or will he run independent?

Or should I get crazy?

This is a two-parter: Vote on whether or not I should go, and leave a comment below on what I should ask him. No limits here, go crazy peeps. I'll randomly select a winner, and videotape the Q and A if allowed to.

It could be fun... or I could be detained as a terrorist. Either way, it'll make for good blog fodder.

Problem, Heathens?

Found at an IHOP in Orem, Utah:

So, can this be considered a form of religious discrimination, or can this be compared to "Ladies Night" at a local bar?

And is it worth it to put on a white dress shirt and black tie to get a free Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity?  Because I'm considering it...

Problem, non-believers?

Fun With Facebook

Happy Birthday to me!

Or not.

Yaaay!

I saw this mentioned on a blog long ago (I'd link it, but the blog has since died.  Meh) and wanted to try this myself.

Tuesday was my birthday.  Yay!  Happy Birthday to me!

Wait, so was Wednesday.  Yay!  Happy Birthday to me!

Um, ok... so is today.  ...Yay!  Happy Bir--

But my real birthday is in January.

This fun social experiment took 3 days before people finally got the joke.  But during those 3 days, I got some fun statistics....

Day 1 - 20 people were fooled, including 2 family members and 1 guy who has known me since I was 6
Day 2 - 10 people still wished me a happy birthday, including 3 people who did it less than 24 hours ago.
Day 3 - The jig was up, people had figured it out.  Oh well!  You HAVE to forgive me!  It's my birthday!!!

I'd like to say that my FB friends are smarter than most.  They got the joke pretty quickly, and a handful of people knew something was up on day 1.

But still, it was a fun thing to try.  Too bad I didn't get any presents out of it...
