About a month ago, I was given an opportunity to test and review an Age-Defying treatment called Nerium AD. As I am now 31, I am on the lookout for wrinkles and gray hairs. This product seemed like a great way to fight the reaper as he did a number on my body...
Now, I don't have a lot of wrinkles or age spots, but my age IS starting to show. I received the sample and followed the instructions.
After 2-3 weeks, I realized something. I'm not seeing a lot of results. I was taking before/during/after pictures like recommended, but there was no change.
That's when it occurred to me. I really don't need this product. At least, not yet...
As for the review portion of this post, I didn't see any results. But then again, I don't have a lot of spots needing an anti-aging boost.
Oh well, it was worth a shot...
If you are old and baggy/saggy, give this product a good glance. The before/after sections of the website shows some significant results, and a quick google search will show a lot of satisfied customers.
Me? Not so much. But that isn't a bad thing. It means I'm not 'old' yet.
One bit of warning, it isn't cheap. And it looks/smells like dirty earwax. If you're going to romance your better half, get your sexy on, THEN put it on, because the odor is a bit of a mood killer...
But if it works, it's worth it, right? I'm impressed with Nerium AD, but I'm not ready to use it as needed yet. Maybe in 10 years...
28 witty retorts:
I've always been a sun slave which means I don't even own sunscreen. However, three years ago I realized I should probably start using it - at least on my face.
I've received to product to try for 5 days. The product has an unpleasant odor. I applied it on cleaned and hydrated skin and find it very uncomfortable as it made my skin feel tight and dry each time I applied it. In the morning when I washed my face there was a film on my skin that I had to wash off with a wash cloth.
Within those 5 days my skin or it's appearance has not changed.
I am disappointed in the product.
Give it time you are going to love your skin
I really agree with this review. The product smells and feels horrible and I saw no changes after 5 days. Will spend money on other products.
Do you even know what's IN Nerium AD? What happens when they come out with research that says the toxic Oleander plant is actually doing lasting damage to the skin? What then?
I am 53 years old, have always taken care of my skin and did not notice any benefits using this product for 3 weeks. I am also very surprised to see Oleander Leaf as an ingredient in this product because it is poisonous.
Please do some reading on the Nerium Biotech website. A molecule has been isolated from the oleander plant, it is not toxic. This is real, deep science backed by many top doctors and scientists. The age-defying properties were an accidental discovery as scientists were working on a treatment for skin cancer. Nerium oleander has been used as a healing ingredient by ancient cultures and these scientists were doing research on the plant because of the historic use of it. My results are great. I've been using it for a little more than a month and notice a difference around my eyes and in the texture of my skin. As for the "bad smell" -- to me it has a clean, earth and sea odor. That being said, they way things smell is a very personal journey. This is a very real skin care cream and it is worth trying....a 5 day trial does not do the product justice. I,too, have always taken care of my skin and noticed a difference in my skin very quickly. Everyone I've introduced to Nerium likes using it and each of them have noticed results. You can really see the results when you compare the before and after photos of yourself. It's always hard to see changes in yourself on a day to day basis, don't you think? That's why the photos work! Please let me know if you have further quesions. All best wishes to everyone!
Theresa~Your post CORRECT! I did tons of Research on ingredients "outside' of Nerium international so as to not receive biased information, Any company will hype there product in a positive light. Nerium Oleander has been used for centuries in many cultures for its positive benefits & qualities. America has just finally caught on to natural resources for healing. I had extreme changes within the first few weeks..Blew me away, Deep lines nearly gone as well as even "Brighter" skin tone. ~Here's my current situation..I am about a month in & having EXTREME acne breakout and dont want to have to quit using the Nerium due to benefits I have received in regards to deep lines. Prior to this I have not had ! breakout in over a year while useing Murad products. I was told could possibly be due to the ingredients in my moisturizer (Retinol) and my cleanser (Salicylic Acid). If anyone has any info in regards to the extreme acne flareup, I would really appreciate some feedback! Mahalo! MaryB in Hawaii
You are not supposed to use moisturizers with retinol or cleansers with salicylic acid as they interact with the enzyme in Nerium AD which may be the reason you are breaking out.
Other dislikes include:
The pump mechanism didn't work properly. I was told how to fix it, but the matter was brushed off like "oh, that happens all the time. Deal with it."
I'm testing the product for a review, and all of a sudden I get bombarded with "BECOME AN AFFILIATE" information in the mail and in my email's inbox. It took a while to get the 'unsubscribe' to finally stick. Thanks for the unwarranted solicitation.
And the smell. I've mentioned it before, but OMGTHESMELL...
I am 52 years old. I have never smoked but because I always use a straw in my drinks, I was beginning to notice deep wrinkles around my mouth. I have used the product for 2 1/2 weeks and the wrinkles are almost gone. I love this product. I don't really care if I sell any of it or not, although I will tell people about it if they ask why I look so young; I just want to use it.
I just received my $130 bottle this week. My initial reactions: No results yet, but probably too soon; I like the soft, silky feel; it's hard to get past the DISGUSTING smell :(. How sad to dread using a beauty product.
I'll suck it up and use it but I can't see ordering more when there are equally effective products that offer a pleasant experience.
I have used NeriumAD for 3 weeks and the results are better than I expected My fine lines are olmost gone I will join as distributor
This is merely another pyramid scam that is trying to cash in on the anti-aging market. Sad.
I love this cream. I have Rozecia and I have had a huge reduction in my redness, swelling& bumps. My skin texture is so much better and the fine lines and reduction in my pores is great. I didn't love the smell, but come on people, it isn't that bad. I tried this and had a couple of family members try it also. We took before and after pics and there is a improvement. I decided to join as a distributor. If you have had the devestating effects of Rozecia and know how it feels, you know how great it feels to have it get better and look better. I am not going to push others to use this, but, I was shelling out $100's each month on RXs and dermatologist appts. so I think it is worth it. But everybody has a right to their own opinion.
I tried the product for a full month and got absolutely NO results. I took before and after pictures as well. It makes me sick to see friends and aquaintances jumping on the Nerium bandwagon. This is such a scam.
I tried Nerium AD for almost a full month, and did NOT notice any results on my wrinkles, skin texture or discoloration. The product smells nasty.... so it is not for me.
Just sat on hold for over 10 minutes with customer service. I had to hang up because I am at work. The pump does not seem to work...I'm already feeling a bit ripped off.
The smell has grown on me. When it dries the smell goes away. It's the only product I've tried that has improved my skin.
Scam. People always used to admire my skin (Lancer Products). I thought I would save money using Nerium. Instead, I have huge holes from acne, no real reduction in lines. I will return to Lancer and give away the Nerium packages that came after I cancelled several times.
I'm so glad I tried the product before being tricked to join this "amazing" company "on the ground level" because it's a "once in a lifetime opportunity." Gag. This product is complete garbage. I actually tried it a second time, because I thought there was no way my "friends" could be lying to me. Guess what, I was right the first time. This product is useless. So sad that people would try to trick their friends and family. The photoshopped "after" photos are a joke.
Problem 1: Pump didn't work. They told me how to fix the spring and mentioned it happens all the time. 20 minutes on the phone and playing with the product I'll never get back.
Problem 2: After 20 days, I'm not noticing any differences.
Problem 3: Yes the smell fades BUT IT IS STILL ON YOUR FACE AND SMELLING HORRIBLE!! I go to sleep with it on and my boyfriend refuses to kiss me goodnight with the stuff on. The smell drives him crazy!
Problem 4: Now I'm being hounded to become an affiliate, and start selling myself. God, I'm being sucked into a shitty pyramid scheme, aren't I??
Nerium AD, I will not be buying your product again. Waste of time, waste of money, and HIGHLY UN-RECOMMENDED!!!
I have been using it for 30 days and it has made real changes in my neck. I'm 55 and was thinking that I'd have to go see a plastic surgeon to deal with the chicken neck that was developing. But now, it's looking soooo much better - I would've had to pay a fortune to get that work done, plus deal with the surgery and drugs which can always go bad. From my point of view, this is much cheaper and easier.
I'm getting used to the smell. It put me off the first few days, but now it reminds me of gardening the smell of putting new plants into a pot.
OMG .. FINALLY! someone who has an even slightly non-positive something to say about this product! According to everything anyone can learn by Googling it ... it's better than God! Sorry, but it's impossible to believe that 100% of the people in the world 100% love it.
Yes I agree with most of you all on NeriumAD- 7 days result on my hand did not show any result and was still dry skin on the knuckles. Compared to NeriumAD, I tried geranium oil from doTERRA on other hand and AMAZING. It worked! Quickly dry skin was gone! FAST. Now I decided to try doTERRA's spa body butter and I was in love with it immediately. NO smell, NO harsh chemicals, NO gimmicks!
NeriumAD has sodium borate (Borax) that is a toxic ingredient- even it is tiny, you can use it everyday and it gets in the blood stream and goes to liver and store it there and slowly damage the liver! It also has sodium hydroxiglynicade (sp?) that is a TEMPORARY look young ingredient that makes you think you would be young forever! It makes you addict like caffeine that you can't afford to stop use it- try for 2 weeks not to use it and see how you feel and you'll realize dryness come back and you really need it! That is NOT healthy! Other ingredient is fragrance. Fragrance masks the secret ingredients that nobody wants to know and those are toxic ingredients many would not want to know. Fragrance covers the smell- and cause health issues.
doTERRA has SAFE chemicals and SAFE products that do not have kind of ingredients like this one. I LOVE my spa body butter. It is so amazing! I haven't put on any for 4 days and still amazing smooth knuckles and hands!!!!
The pictures mean nothing. There are tricks- picture has different light, movement of faces looking up, down, smiling, not smiling, etc. I still do not see any difference that fast.
with doTERRA, I have become healthy since February and you can check that out at www.deaf.doterrapro.com, my friend's website, and CHALLENGE with a SKIN TEST from me. CHALLENGE ME and I guarantee you that you will change your mind and go for doTERRA!
I agree! So sad to see how people believe everything others say. Just make a video, show old people in suits, and photoshop before and after photos and thats all it takes.
I have been invited to a meeting, and first of all, I wonder with all the natural ingredients... why in the heck does it cost so much. And, secondly, when I google the product, most of the information is about becoming a partner in this MLM bussiness. Just wondering....
Does anyone know of any unbiased reviews of this product from any sources which review beauty products, skin care, or anti-aging creams? So far it has been difficult to find one.
