Finally, I broke down and decided to get me a drawing tablet as a late Christmas present. I purchased a Wacom Bamboo, and it just arrived!
It's lightweight, fairly simplistic, but I decided to watch the tutorial just in case. Wow, what a slow tutorial. And it doesn't let you speed up.
I started to play around when it said "draw a little and get used to the sensitivity and functions of the tablet."
This was my first concoction:
I know, I know. It needs work, and most penises aren't yellow, unless you have a SERIOUS case of jaundice...
...which I don't. This isn't a self-portrait. (Sorry, Lady E.)
I'm learning to crawl right now before I walk/run. As I get better, expect more sketches and funny thoughts, such as...
What do stick figures look like when they're pregnant?
And how do you tell if it's a boy or a girl?
Until I get a little more used to it, just expect random doodles and shit like this:
January 5th, and the Christmas tree is still up. Lazy much?? |
Let me know....
16 witty retorts:
As you know, girls only like guys with mad skills, so watch the f*ck out, world!
This is the first I've heard of the Wacom. Is there advantages to this as opposed to apps on a tablet (not that I can afford one of those either)? I look forward to more Prickasso as you get the general hang (pun intended) of things.
Mad skills? Shit, I'm out.
(have you SEEN these drawings??)
Okay you convinced me, I am totally getting myself one now! Drawing zombies all day! lol.
I bought a Wacom CTE-440 two years ago and have used it maybe twice... never got the hang of the pen, couldn't fathom how to add all that color crap, and I'm WAY too impatient to sit through that tutorial.
But now you've got me dusting this relic off and wondering if it might be useful after all. Dammit, Brandon, I don't need this confusion in my life!
oh...new toys!! Yahoo!! I like your drawings. A lot. And every time you make one I hear the song from the old SNL skit with Simon "hello my name is Simon and I like to do drawrings...." Look it up, it's funny stuff.
I think you could have got most of that done with a mouse... lol
You're going to have so much fun. So so so much fun.
@RG: Are you looking at my bum? Bum looker.... cheeky monkey....
I love Simon, btw, and his drawrings...
Nice! Here is a request: draw a donkey driving a monster truck. I don't know why I thought of that, but as I'm thinking more and more about it I really want to see it :)
Never heard of it, but now do want. I think you should continue down the path of your stick figures...the possibilities, while probably not endless, could keep you occupied for a while. And they are funny as hell.
I predict more hilarious concoctions in the future... skeet skeet is a great way to break a tablet in haha.
lmao your drawing skills are right up there with mine. So nice to see I'm not alone. Rock on stick figures
I think you need to do more nudes lol
Those drawing skills deserve an award. Seriously! I've already got one here for you.
I got a wacom just before chrimbo and I'm still getting to grips with it... especially the handwriting recognition stuff which just thinks I'm an incoherent dyslexic oaf...
