As is custom, I would like to make some new year's resolution, and as is custom, I'll probably forget about them by the end of January.
But hell, they're fun. Especially with a smartass like me, so here we go...
- Lofty goal, but I'd like to hit a half-million pageviews for this blog in 2012. I did a little over 260k my first year in existence, so I think it's possible. But I'm going to have to bust ass, and come up with some good content to keep you guys happy (any suggestions??)
- I took 3 trips to California in 2011, and I would like to double that this year. I also want to see if I can coax the boys into coming to me once this year. There may be a Utah trip in the works, and that'll do, but a few days in Idaho in the summer could be fun...
- 3 words: Thirty-six inch waistline. Oh yes, it will be mine...
Stop.... stripper time. |
- I want to own at least one pair of breakaway pants. You never know when some spontaneous stripping is in order, and I'd like to be prepared to shake my money-maker at a moment's notice.
- I know how to make basic websites, but I'd like to expand my knowledge a little more. I want to improve my web-design knowledge, make a kickass site, and maybe dabble into customizing QR codes for fun.
- Lastly, I'd like to keep entertaining my bloggy fan-base, and keep people smiling on a semi-regular basis. Will I continue blogging daily? I can't promise that. But I can promise I'll keep pumping out some quality shit, and never waste your time with a post I myself wouldn't be happy about.
What is everyone else resolving for 2012? Or do you think it's all a waste of time?
I don't really do New Year's resolutions. I just start doing the things I want to do. Like I'm trying to reattain my optimum level of fitness that I was at a little over a year ago. Running 7-8 miles/day, lifting 5 days a week... but I started that a couple weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteI plan to continue the whole blogging thing everyday (and by 'every' I mean 5-6 days per week). Do you ever feel guilty if you don't post one day? I should maybe resolve to feel less guilty about things. Huh. Anyways. Happy New Years!
Tear-away pants? Why didn't I think of that? That would have been the perfect Christmas gift to ask for! I guess I'll request it for an anniversary present. Your pageview numbers are staggering! You've pulled more followers and page hits than I can shake a stick at. Whatever you're doing, keep it up because it's working. I'd like to boost my following and comments.
ReplyDelete@Haven: I never feel guilty when I don't post. I try to only write when I have something to write about. Luckily I always have ideas swimming around. When I don't write, I just didn't feel like I had anything worth sharing.
ReplyDelete@Q: You just keep doing what you're doing. You're on a short list of bloggers I *have* to read all of the time. You're awesome!
Don't worry about all those resolutions. Just concentrate of the rip off pants, K?
ReplyDeleteWell the shrinking waistline kind of goes with the break away pants. I don't want to look like Chris Farley at Chippendales when I do it...
ReplyDeleteTear-away pants is a great idea. I'd save it for the day I volunteer at elderly bingo night and as soon as a lady wins, I'd say, "here's your prize" and tear off the pants. Maybe I should make my resolution to not do that. But as it stands, I'm just hoping I can cut my poo-related tweeting in half.
ReplyDeleteI used to do the resolutions thing. A few years ago I got an idea for a good one in November. I decided that day that I wouldn't wait for new years and just go for my goal, and it worked. Whenever I get a resolution, I start as soon as I can. Waiting for a date sucks.
ReplyDeleteHOWEVER, best of luck with yours!
You have some great resolutions. I think without a doubt you'll hit over a half mil viewers and you've had great success so far in your first year. I share some of your goals, except I want a smaller waist. :) AND I really want to improve my site a lot and just get more traffic so I can definitely relate. I think whether you post everyday or every other day, your readers will be very happy.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year,
Dale
@Dale: You want insta-stripper pants too??
ReplyDeleteWill you rip off the shirt too when you have the pants? Cause they kinda go together, then you dance in your g-string and cowboy hat and get girls to rub oil over your chiselled abs......oh sorry, i kinda went down memory lane for a moment.
ReplyDeleteI dont do resolutions but I admire those that make and then achieve them
mmm, yes, tearaway pants truly are a MUST for the trendy gentleman this season. stunning ;)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have got some serious goals. Good luck with the pants!
