I'm going going, back back to Cali Cali...

As the title suggests, I'm planning a trip back to California.

It's been too damn long, and I miss my boys.  Things are finally getting stable enough, emotionally and financially, where I can consider going down there.

Money is still going to be tight.  I can't exactly take them to Disneyland for 3 days, but I can at least take them to the beach or the park.

Any suggestions, people?  I'll be driving down Friday, probably only see them in the afternoon (12 hour drive).  I'll be with them all day Saturday, and probably breakfast/brunch on Sunday before they go to church.

Right now, I'm thinking the beach.  We've had some fun at Huntington Beach, and I'm sure I could get my mom, or a friend or two to come, so I'm not outnumbered...

I miss the beach...

However, if any wealthy benefactors would like to see me do Disneyland or something more extravagant, please feel free to donate to the "Show the boys a good time" fund.

Happy weekend, all!

  2. You'll show them a good time, man. With extra money or not. Kids just need their attention and their love, and if I've learned anything about you from this blog, it's that you're the father to give them just that.

    Enjoy :)

  4. Griffith Park. I always like that area. Lots to see and do and not as chaotic as the typical tourist things that distract you from interacting. You can get beautiful pics there, hike around with the kids, and then take them to the beach at sunset for corndogs and castle building.

  7. Hooray! So glad you get to go back and see your boys! Just you being there will mean more to them than anything you take them to do.

  10. My friend, have a wonderful time with your boys in California. I've had some awesome times in California. I really wish I could help, but I just managed to get enough money together to see my friends and family in Vancouver.
Anyway, the main thing is that you have quality time with your boys. Your heart and your priorities, are in the right place :) Much respect, your way, Gary.

  11. OMG - is it bad that I laughed at the addition of the donate button? That is cheeky & I love. If I weren't broke, I'd totally spread the wealth.
    Have a fantastic time!
