Whelp, four more years.
Whether you think that is good or bad, it is what it is.
But this is what happens when your party puts up a candidate with as much charisma as a can of tomato soup... 48% of the country voted for 'Anyone but Obama,' even if that meant a fuckmuppet like Mitt Romney.
I mean, come on. Republicans, you can do better.
And in 2016, you need to do better. NOT Jeb Bush, find another family tree to pick your fruit from.
Politics aside, I had a lot of fun looking at the idiots on Facebook and Twitter last night.
For example, a lot of my dumber conservative friends now want to move to Canada.
O, Canada, where you already have universal healthcare and marriage equality. You're a right-winger's dream.
Oh wait...
I know a lot of smart conservatives. I know a lot of smart liberals. But there are too many idiots out there, giving their political parties a bad name.
Oh well, onward and upward. Here's to the next four years, and to having two good candidates in 2016 (yeah right).
There's been an election, why did no-one tell me?
ReplyDeleteI think "I'm not a fuckmuppet" should be the next slogan of whoever runs in 2016, the smart ones among us will appreciate that reference. A lot of my family/friends of the conservative persuasion decided that praying for the rapture to come quickly would be the best solution to 4 more years. Yes,makes perfect sense to me! That is why I moved far, far away...idiocy is contagious.
ReplyDeleteThought you might like this one that has hit the media here in Australia today...

I heard half of them were planning to come to Australia. I am sure they would love it lol. With our female atheist Prime Minister currently living in sin with her partner and our gun laws.
ReplyDeleteThe 1950's called. They want their attitudes back.
ReplyDeleteBrandon, you are the only outlet where I can post this LOL. I am suddenly glad that Romney didn't win considering some of the members of his cabinet that he was planning on nominating.
ReplyDelete1) Tom Luna - Secretary of Education - you have to be fucking kidding right?
2) Butch Otter - not sure what - but honestly it would have been nice to be rid of him....but I wouldn't wish him on the nation.
3) Butch Otter's wife would then be nominated to Idaho's State Superintendent.
I wouldn't want to see Props 1, 2, & 3 on a national scale.... I am all for supporting education, but lets start with budgeting what we have better.
I wanted Romney to win. But he didn't. So now I'm Obama's # 1 fan when it comes to economic recovery. I hope he leaves office the best President ever when it comes to the economy! http://therestaurantmanagersrants.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI'm sad, but I'm not moving to Canada. Even though it's a swell country, I don't know how to play hockey. Actually, a great post. I especially liked "fuckmuppet." I am so going to use that.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I think Herman Cain would have given Obama a better run for his money. Sure, he loved the women like a Clinton, but he had a good fiscal plan and wasn't too batshit when it came to social issues.
ReplyDeleteI'm at least glad that both sides are talking to each other and the work 'compromise' has been tossed around A LOT in the last 24 hours. That shows potential.
Let me guess, I had you at 'fuckmuppet...'
ReplyDeleteIt definitely got special out there. In fact I promised not to even read any follow up articles today because I was tired of the drama. Of course I couldn't resist you though.
ReplyDeleteConservatives moving to Canada? They'll come home and become moderates so I'm fine with it.
ReplyDeleteBring maple syrup when you guys come back! I love that stuff...
