Naive Business Names

My girlfriend had a bad migraine last night (she lives with me, can you blame her?) so we spent some time at the local urgent care center.

While filling out forms, I peered onto the receptionist's desk, and saw this business card for a snowplow service:

Now, I'm from SoCal.  Down there, "Two Guy's Plowing" means something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT...

But it's not the only business in town that has a taboo second-meaning.

For example, there's a hair salon called "Denise's Bush - Haircare."  What hair are you caring for, Denise??

There's a furniture shop in a nearby town called "Romaine's Sofa King."  I'm sure their prices are 'sofa king' low...

What funny-named businesses are in YOUR area?  Feel free to share...

  4. Your poor girlfriend. I suffer from migraines too; they're the pits.

I can't think of any unfortunate business names here, but I do know that if you want to apply for a job at Blackberry the website you have to visit is rim.jobs.

So. You know. If the Two Guys Plowing ever want to move up in the world a little.

  13. Hahaha, I love cleverly named businesses (even if they are dated, tacky, etc). There's a towing company I saw a few weeks ago I saw called "Tow Jam." I thought that was kind of funny.

Hope your girlfriend is feeling better!

  15. We had a strip mall that for years had a sign for a new restaurant next to where a hair place had been. They took don part of the sign, but not all of it, so for years it read, "BJ's Deli Hair." (I'll have that with pickles to-go please)
